Anyone have problems with HD programming?

I have recently purchase an expensive HD television/surround sound package. I upgraded my DirecTV receiver to HD as well. I am constantly getting interference with my picture and strange audio problems. Does anyone else experience this? Is this just the growing pains with new technology?

This isn't common. You probably have low signal on your satellite dish. Check your signal using your receivers set up menu, it should be 90+ on most transponders.

No, I have Directv HD and have no abnormalities whatsoever. One question for you: Did you call Directv to arrange for HD service? This involves a new dish, and adding HD to your present service.

In any case, you've got a problem and you need to call Directv for support. 800-DIRECTV

Did you upgrade the dish itself as well as the satellite receiver? If not, that's probably your problem.
