2 days ago I was flipping through the channels and in my joy I realized that we had HBO and cinnamax. I started recording movies like crazy and then 2 days later, they were gone and said I had to pay for them. We have digital cable and had it for about a year and a half so this IS NOT part of the special 3 month package. was there an error or what happened? and is there any way I can got them back other them ordering them?

Occassionally cable companies have free previews that they do not advertise. I worked for a cable company for a few years and often times even us the workers were not told we were having free previews and customers would call in asking and we would have no clue. This is not permanent. In order to continue carrying the channels you need to subscribe and they can be pretty costly. Usually the companies offer a free 30 day trial. So if you just want to have them for 30 days call and cancel before the 30 days is up and they will refund the charges.

I had the same thing. It is just a promotion. They offer it to you in order for you to say "hey, that was cool, i'll order HBO" Some cable boxes have a red light on during this promotional event.

Every few months, HBO and Cinemax do free weekends as a promotion.

I'm on Dish and we got them over the weekend as well.

Not interested though. For the price it would cost to get those channels, we can get Netflix instead.
