Roger R is correct. A dish is a dish, and the LNB is an LNB. There are most effective two variations between a DISH dish and a DirecTV dish: The identify painted on the dish, and The path at which the dish is pointing. It's the signal coming down from the satellite tv for pc, and the codes instructing your receiver, that investigate what reception you get, not the dish or LNB.

I suspect you mean Free-To-Air satellite, which to be clear is receiving programming transmitted with no encryption, not receiving pay services without subscription (that is simply stealing it). Since you are asking at Y!A, where guidelines forbid piracy, I am going to assume you legally want to receive satellite TV.

Some older DirecTV dishes/LNBF can be used to receive some Dishnetwork signals, using a Dishnetwork receiver, and since they are encrypted, they are not FTA.

If you want the FTA that is not stealing, you need a 39" or larger dish with Ku LNBF, and a proper DVB-FTA receiver (watch though, some so-called FTA receivers are made only for pirating the pay services, those are poor legit FTA receivers).
