I have one dish on my roof. It has a single dual LNB (Basically one LNB arm with 2 cable connectors). I have two cables coming from it going to two different receivers (expressvu receivers) in my home. Can I disconnect these cables from my receivers and run them through some sort of splitter so that I can run 4 receivers. So 2 cables going in and 4 coming out?

Is this possible? And does the signal come in at all 4 receivers in the same strength? Can I watch all 4 receivers at the same time with no problems?

if you have directv, then you will need a 3x4 multiswitch. zinwell is a common manufacturer of these switches. two lines coming off the lnb go into two ports on the side with three ports (into the ports marked 18v and 13v. it doesn't matter which line goes into which), you can then run up to four lines off of the switch into four different directv receivers. in fact, this is the most common setup for people with directv that have more than 2 receivers.

if you have dish network, then you have several options. if your lnb just says "dish pro", then you will need a multiswitch to run more receivers, much like the setup with directv. if your lnb says "dish pro plus", then the lnb has two ports on the left, and one on the right. the right port is only for secondary dishes, so disregard it. the dish pro plus lnbs are meant for dual tuner receivers, receivers that can run two tvs independently while just being one physical box. since you would like to go from two to four, perhaps it may be more convenient to just upgrade your receivers to dual tuner receivers.

hope this helps.

No you cant, I ve tried. I fairly have Directv additionally. you prefer a dish that helps distinctive strains. confer with a DTV rep tell them you have been questioning of canceling and going with yet another service so as to get a distinctive room device yet you're able to fairly prefer to stay with them. they in many circumstances prefer to maintain shoppers and that they're going to artwork some thing out with you. If that not artwork cancel and circulate with a clean service who has a introductory furnish that fits what you prefer.

You need a multiswitch. Both those lines go into it, and you can run four lines out.
