DVR Help!! How to Stop Recording Episodes???

Question

So we just got Direct Tv with DVR. My brother wanted to record a show, but he recorded it so it records all episods ever run (by accident). So when I go to the to do list I can delete the programs and they stay deleted (he doesn't want the shows anymore). But the problem is it still keeps recording the episodes when they come on everyday. How Do I stop it from recording the episodes?? I want it so it stops recording all of the episodes, we don't want this episode to record any longer. Help please!!

If you want the show to stop being recorded onto your DVR

Go to the list of recorded show

then go to Schedule

the click events

and select what you want to stop recording

and hit delete priority



you can also hit edit and select all the things you want deleted off the list

Not sure that either answer solves the problem. I want ONE episode at a certain time. But lately DTV DVR records every time the program airs. MSNBC runs, for example, The Rachel Maddow Show 3 times. I want only the first. HELP!!!!!!!!!

I went to menu, then select 'manage recordings', then select 'prioritizer'.

Choose the program that you can't stop recording, and press your red delete button. Our problem was solved.
