how do you put a films on to dvd?

i have made a play list of family films that i up loaded onto my pc, its in the windows media player, do i just buy blank dvd and then burn the playlist onto the dvd? thanks jane x

You'll need some software to properly encode the DVD. Usually your computer comes preloaded with it. See if you have Nero DVD burner or its equivalent In your programs list.

If you want to watch them on your pc then just burn the wmv files straight on to a blank dvd as a dvd data iso.

If you want to watch them on a dvd player you must convert them into video_ts files then burn them as a dvd video.

doin this will save the playlist to the disk not the video files...

puttin them on disk depends on format of the viseo file.....

if they are dvdfiles then burn then......if they are divx files then u need to either convert to dvd or hope ur dvd can play divx....feel free to drop me a line on gordonryan78 at msn dot com if u wanna know more...i hav all stuff u will need for any file :)
