?

Hello,

I was considering switching to Dish Network from Comcast and was just wondering if Dish Network on Demand offers all the free programming and kid's programming that the cable company does? For instance, do they offer free kid's programming like shows from NickJr such as Dora the Explorer and Max and Ruby?

Thanks,

Ron

Nope. When it comes to On Demand thats going to be all Comcast. Dish just cant support it. They have a weak substitute but its nothing like what you are looking for. No tvs shows just alot of b list movies. Requires a HD rcvr connected to broadband internet service.

I am sure that all cable companies and services have kid programming along with some adult shows to go with me. The channels that are mostly between adult and kid is channel 169-171. I am a Dish costumer and I have many channels that I like watching including NickJr(channel 169), NickHD(channel 170 and 171). I switched from AT&T to Dish because we moved to a subdivision in Grove City called Autumn Grove and we tried to get AT&T to put thier TV equipment in our house so we can watch TV but they said that they dont do TV here anymore and also they said that they dont do internet here either.

I don't believe they do, but if the programs themselves were actually free, you wouldn't be paying nothing. For On Demand on Dish, you need a DVR. To use that DVR, you have to pay a monthly fee for the DVR service, which is $7/mo.
